【Artist Baton】
◆Your name?
Leanna, but on here it's Rha.
◆If possible, your age?
just turned 20!
◆When did you start drawing?
When I was home-schooled. Probably 6th grade- 7th grade, somewhere in there.
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right.
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
I think they both have their difficulties, but I prefer females because of their silhouettes, the freedom one can use in posing them as well as what you have them wear.
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
I like medium-length hair. Is that acceptable? Lol.
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Both? Wait... their right or my right? *throws hands in the air* WTF.
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
They are both easy compared to the other hundreds of perspectives you could draw them from.
◆What do you have problems in drawing?
Muscle. I've never had to take an anatomy class, so I have to self-teach whenever I get a challenging pose... like a naked one. OHO.
◆What do you like to draw?
My lovely Missi... and inspiring fashion ads from Vogue.
◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Traditional. I don't have all those expensive tools like all you cool guys.
◆Where do you start drawing from?
Shoulders. I like going straight to the hips from the shoulders, that way I can work around the pose easier.
◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I don't let myself do anything until after 11 pm because I have this paranoid feeling that it will suck if I start any earlier.
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
Find and understand your light source! Where's it coming from, how bright it is, etc. Start with the darkest or lightest colors first, then slowly work your way to the opposite end.
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
1-2 hours. If I color, then about 3-4. (I rarely color.)
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Anything that makes me feel like I'm falling.
◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Someimtes it's right on the spot, sometimes it takes longer. There's no set time for me.
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencils~ more specifically my .3 mm detailing pencil and chalk pastels
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Red.
◆Your favorite style(s)?
As cheesy as this sounds, I love Michelangelo's work. Especially his Pietas and Bacchus. I don't know why!
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
A mix between realistic and comic-style. Classy!
◆Thank you.
